    Camera Ready Instructions

We will only accept IEEE XploreTM-compliant PDF files for final paper submissions. It is important to distill your PDF files to meet IEEE PDF specifications.

At a minimum, basic PDF distiller settings MUST be changed so PDF files are: optimized, set to Acrobat 4.0 compatibility, all graphics are set to at least 300 dpi resolution, ALL fonts are embeddable, POSTSCRIPT fonts, ALL fonts must be embedded and subset, postscript settings SHOULD NOT override distiller settings and page size is 612.0 x 792.0 points (8.5" x 11"). Authors should check their final PDF files before submission to verify that all fonts have been properly embedded and subset. Some font manufacturers now flag their fonts to not embed. These fonts should be avoided.

The complete IEEE PDF specification document can be found at: http://www.ieee.org/portal/cms_docs/pubs/confstandards/pdfs/IEEE-PDF-SpecV401.pdf

There is a 8 page limit for all papers!

Please submit your camera ready paper through the CMT system.

    Instructions For Authors

    Paper Format
A complete paper should be submitted in the format specified in the author kit. The length should match that intended for final publication. Format your submissions as you would like them to appear in their final format. Submissions will be published on CD/ROM, however abstracts will be published in the paper proceedings. Paper length is limited to 8 pages including references.

    Review
Accepted papers will undergo some revisions and checked again before sent to the printer. Border line papers will be given a chance for rebuttal. This aims to improve quality.

    Open Review Submission
The conference features a track of "open review submissions." Submission under this category is totally voluntary. The main feature of this track is open reviewing. The names of the authors will be known to the reviewers and the names of the reviewers will be known to the authors. This entails that the reviewers will write civil, thorough, well-documented and constructive reviews. Accepted papers will be revised per the reviewers’ comments to the extent possible. The final papers will be published along with the reviews as an addendum. Therefore, the combined review or critique will be a short article by itself with the reviewers as authors. In this category, each paper will be forwarded by the respective reviewers and there will be a chance for a real discussion. The measure aims to bring back scientific discourse into the process and fight corruption, hypocrisy, shallowness, and rudeness. Because of the involved process, reviews will last longer, reviewer participation will be voluntary, and if there is strong author interest there may be editorial decisions as to what papers will go through this track to accommodate the limited resources. In such eventuality, the remaining papers will go through the normal review process. A special issue of a major journal will be commissioned to publish selected articles from this historic effort.

    Oral Sessions
Oral sessions featuring papers that went under the open review process will include dialog between authors and reviewers. The aim is to bring the dialectic back in science.

    Research Video
Authors are encouraged to submit research videos along with their papers.

    Poster Papers
Poster papers will be advertized by the authors in 1 minute plenary "madness" talks at the begining of each day.

    Government Session
In this session, program managers from all major funding agencies will outline the current and future research agendas.
