Santa Fe, the City Different, is the capital of the U.S. state of New Mexico. It is the fourth largest city in the state of New Mexico and county seat of Santa Fe County.
Founded as a capital city in 1607 by Spanish explorers, it was once claimed by the Pueblo Peoples, the Spanish Crown, Mexico, and the Confederacy. In 1846, it was ceded by Mexican Federation to the U.S. Present day Santa Fe is internationally renowned for its contemporary, cosmopolitan sophistication. Santa Fe is characterized by cool winters and warm summers. During the time span of the confernce relatively pleasant temperatures ranging in the 45°F - 75°F (10°C - 25°C) are expected.
